Named for the Fauves, the French painters of the early 1900s known for their bold, vivid colour, the Fauve covers a white ground with broad, confident brushstrokes in cobalt, navy and sky blue, set against pink, orange and red. Angular shards and soft ovals overlap and cut across each other, with small touches of black and tan, so the print looks freshly painted by hand. From a distance, it reads as a bold burst of blue and pink. Up close, each stroke has its own texture and the print rewards a longer look.
The details carry the colour through. A vivid red-orange lining sits inside the collar and cuffs, picked up in the red stitching on the pearl-toned buttons. Open the collar or turn back the cuff and the colour shows.
Made in Turkey from 97% cotton with 3% elastane, it has a touch of stretch for easy movement through the day.
